--- THE PASTOR’S CORNER

Without Warning

Good morning; I pray your hearts have been encouraged this week through the Word of God, as we have shared in the truths of Jesus returning for His church. However, there is also a sad truth to the return of Jesus, and that is not everyone is going back with Him, my friend; you must be saved when He returns to go back with Him. Don’t believe folks who tell you everyone is going to heaven and there is another way. That is a lie. “Let every man be a liar, and God be the truth.” “Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left” (Matt. 24:40). Jesus is coming like a “thief in the night,” He will not make a great announcement of His coming. As the church, we must preach like John the Baptist, “repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.” I believe in encouraging people, making them feel good about themselves, but we must tell folks they must prepare for the coming of Jesus. “Two grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left” (v.41). The church must continue to warn the world of the coming of Jesus. Noah preached for 120 years, one message “it’s going to rain”. The people did not believe him until the rain started falling. “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come” (v.42). I encourage you to warn at least one person today about the coming of Jesus, warn your children or your spouse if they are not saved. Father, I pray we as the church of the living God will warn a lost and dying world of the church’s Rapture, and I pray conviction on the lost. Be Blessed in Jesus Name.

In a Moment

Good morning; thank you for joining us around the Word of God this morning. Many of us are struggling in the flesh, many folks are succumbing to the flesh, our bodies are decaying, breaking down. The scripture teaches us that we were “born in sin and shaped in iniquity” and that we are sinners saved by the grace of God. And, because we live in a body of sin, it must die and return to the dust. I am looking forward to a change when we do not have to struggle with the flesh; we can enjoy our saved spiritual man’s perfection. Well, Paul said, “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” 1 Corinthians (15:52). Hold on, change is coming; whether believers die or are raptured, their bodies will be changed from the perishable to the imperishable, from the natural to the spiritual. This last trumpet of God will end the church age; I pray you all will go up with us. My friend, you will not have time to gather any belongings nor tell anyone where you are going. This change will be an instantaneous recreation from the earthly to the heavenly, from one form (corruptible)to the other(incorruption). “For this corruption must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (v.53). Christian believer, get ready for the change of your life; Jesus is coming, and you WILL be changed! Father, I pray blessings upon my brother and sister in Christ and encourage them today. Be Blessed in Jesus Name!

The Great Shout

Good morning; thank you for joining us around the Holy Word of God this morning. My heart, spirit, and mind have been focused upon the return of Jesus for His church! As the people of God, I pray we will never lose focus or hope in the return of Jesus. Paul said through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God, “For the Lord himself, shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:” (Thess. 4:16). My Christian friend, Jesus is not sending Abraham, Issac, or Jacob after His bride (The Church); He is coming Himself with a SHOUT! Help me worship this morning. This will be the shout that will wake the dead; this was the shout that brought Lazarus from the tomb. My friend, this will be the SHOUT that will bring the church up to meet Jesus in the sky. “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (v.17). I don’t know about you this morning, but I am listening for the SHOUT of Jesus! At this shout, the whole church will be present, those who have died, and those remaining. What a worship time that will take place, it will be a “shouting time in heaven”. You remember the old song “When The Morning Comes” “When the saints of God are gathered home, we will tell the story how we’ve overcome; we will understand it better by and by.” Saints of God “comfort one another with these words” (v.18). Father, I pray for my fellow believers this morning that they would find comfort in the Word of God and that we are listening for the SHOUT of Jesus! Be Blessed in Jesus Name.

The Greatest Hope

Good Morning; what a Hope we have in Jesus, a Hope that does not fade away in death, a Hope that reaches beyond death, a Hope that has conquered death, hell, and the grave. In Thessalonians 4:13-18, Paul encourages our hearts concerning the believers who have died in the Lord. “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope” Thess. 4:13. Sleep in reference to the Christian in Scripture refers to the body; our body is going back to the dust. The soul is eternal, we have no reference of the soul sleeping in the scripture, but we do have a reference of the body sleeping and Jesus calling them out. “For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him” (v. 14). I am looking for the church’s rapture, and my friend, everyone who has died in the Lord, I know you have relatives, a mother, father, brother or sister, some of you even have children right now in the presence of Jesus. I felt a shout right there!! “Some interpret the phrase God will bring to mean that the spirits of dead believers will come from heaven with Christ to meet their resurrected bodies. Others see in it the truth that at the Rapture, God will bring all believers, living and dead, back to heaven with Christ”. Know this morning that all those who have died in the Lord, we will meet them again in the Rapture!! What a hope we have in Jesus, what a time we will have in the sky! I am so excited thinking about this great event, my friend; don’t you miss out on this grand celebration in the sky! Be Blessed in Jesus’ Name!
