The Many and the Few
Good morning; as we gather around God’s Holy Word, my earnest prayer for you is that everyone who is reading this devotion is ready to meet God! I understand most everyone wants to go to heaven, but the sad truth is not everyone will. Jesus said, “for many are called, but few are chosen” (Matt. 22:14). I encourage you to make sure you are ready to meet your Maker (God). Make sure you have responded to the call of the Holy Spirit of God to Salvation. And the conviction to live in holiness, as holiness can be traced in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Matt. 5:8). My friend, have you allowed Jesus into your heart. The only purity of man is the Holy Spirit of God living inside our hearts. Never forget that man was and is “born in sin and shaped in iniquity,” and we must be redeemed by the Precious Blood of Jesus; before we meet God. Do you have a pure heart this morning? How is your thought (heart) life? “As (a man) thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Prov. 23:7). The purity of our heart is reflected in our daily lives. It is reflected in the things we enjoy, in the things we dislike, and how we spend our time. Father, I pray conviction upon the lost, upon religious, upon the churched. I pray that all will be convicted by the Holy Spirit of God and that their souls will be REDEEMED. I encourage you to join with a local body of believers on this Lord’s Day, and if you do not have a church, we invite you to Pembroke First. Be Blessed in Jesus Name!
