The Hope of Glory
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost” (Romans 15:13).
In this passage, Paul addresses the unity of the believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and he prays a blessing over them. The apostle has a deep desire for all believers to have total spiritual satisfaction in their Savior and Lord. “It is a prayer for satisfied souls in Christ to know and experience the peace, the hope, the love, the victory, the joy, and the power of the indwelling Spirit of God, who makes them one in Jesus Christ their Lord.” Gracious Lord, I pray this morning for our readers that their relationship with Jesus would bring them great joy and peace, and the hope they have placed in the finished work of Jesus would supply their hearts with the Hope of Glory.
