God of Peace

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. Rom 15:33
We all need Peace! There are sources of Peace which are common to all men. The peace of a happy home. The peace of career success or an accomplished life. The peace of good friends and supportive family. While one may become surrounded with good things, these things fail to ever settle and satisfy the troubled soul for its search of peace with eternal things. The scripture passage reminds us of a peace that only comes from “the God of peace.” It is the peace that surpasses understanding which comes from the God of Peace. It is the peace of God for all who have received peace with God through His Son Jesus. The peace of God is the peace of the Divine Nature. It is the very tranquillity which prevails in the heart of the God of Peace. It is of this peace that Jesus spoke when He said, “My peace I give unto you” (Jn 14:27). It is the peace that filled and blessed His own being during His earthly life and ministry. It is the peace of Emmanuel, “God with us” (Mt 1:23). Dear friend, we are surrounded by people on every side who are troubled for a greater inner peace. A peace that settles and satisfies the eternal desire of their soul. What the troubled soul unknowingly desires is the good and perfect gift that comes from “the Father of lights” (Jam 1:17), “the God of Peace.” My friend, this the greatest gift that can be given at Christmas. The gift of the God of peace is for all eternity for “the Lord of Peace Himself give you peace always” (1 Thes 3:16). Dear Christian friend, the greatest gift of Christmas is within you to be shown and shared with all. Will you share your gift with someone at Christmas? Father thank You for Your love and the gift of Your eternal peace. I praise You and adore You. I’m the blessed Name of Jesus. Amen.
